Kimberly Wise
Hello fellow travelers (or aspiring travelers)! My name is Kimberly Wise and I’m a travel-holic. *Hiiiii Kimmmmm*
I am a (almost) 30-year-old public relations executive originally from Texas. In addition to the Lone Star State, I’ve lived in Washington, DC (and all the surrounding areas) and New York City. It goes without saying that I’m a chameleon and can adapt to most environments.
My traveling addiction began at the age of 16, when I took my first plane ride to a school conference in Los Angeles. Well, it’s been up, up and away ever since. While I’ve since decided that L.A. isn’t my cup of tea, it opened my eyes to the different cultures, attitudes, sights and sounds outside of Texas. From three-hour road trips, to long international flights, I love being on the move.
Traveling is my therapy and after years of working my fingers to the bone, I’ve learned the importance of playing as hard as you work. In addition to travel, I love amazing meals, great wines and cocktails, spending time with friends and family, and laying on the beach/playing in the ocean…did I mention that I never learned to swim?
I hope this column will give you tips on how you can work travel into your life no matter your time constraints, home situation or budget. Let’s take this journey together and hopefully your passion will (continue to) grow.
